Refund & Cancellation Policy

How cancellations, refunds, reversals and transaction adjustments may be handled on Micro Jobs Africa.

Last updated September 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, reversals, and transaction adjustments may be handled on MicroJob Africa.

Different services may have different refund conditions. Users and businesses should review the terms applicable to the specific transaction before making a payment.

1. General Refund Principles

Refund eligibility depends on the type of transaction, the status of the transaction, the service involved, and the circumstances giving rise to the refund request.

A payment is not automatically refundable simply because a user or business changes their mind after a transaction has been completed.

Where a refund is available, it may be issued through the original payment method or another appropriate method.

2. Advertiser Campaigns

Advertisers may request cancellation of an eligible campaign before or during its execution, subject to the applicable campaign conditions.

Where a campaign has already received user participation, completed activities, approved submissions, payment-processing charges, or other applicable costs, the amount eligible for refund may be affected.

Any unused or refundable campaign balance will be handled according to the applicable campaign conditions.

MicroJob Africa may review campaign activity before processing a refund.

3. Completed Campaign Activities

Amounts associated with completed and approved campaign activities may generally not be refundable to an advertiser solely because the advertiser later changes the campaign requirements or decides that the campaign is no longer needed.

Where an activity was completed incorrectly, fraudulently, or in violation of the campaign requirements, MicroJob Africa may review the relevant activity and make an appropriate adjustment where justified.

4. Campaign Cancellation by MicroJob Africa

MicroJob Africa may cancel, suspend, or remove a campaign where it violates Platform rules, applicable law, payment requirements, or other applicable conditions.

Where a campaign is cancelled by MicroJob Africa, any applicable refund or balance adjustment will be determined based on the circumstances of the cancellation and the relevant transaction conditions.

5. Marketplace Purchases

Marketplace purchases are subject to the product type and the applicable seller and marketplace conditions.

Before purchasing a product, buyers should review:

  • Product description;
  • Product specifications;
  • Price;
  • Delivery information;
  • Seller information where provided; and
  • Any stated refund or cancellation conditions.

6. Digital Products

Because digital products may be delivered or accessed immediately after purchase, refunds may be subject to additional conditions.

A refund request may be considered where, for example:

  • The purchased digital product was not delivered;
  • The delivered product is materially different from its description;
  • The product is technically inaccessible due to an issue attributable to the seller;
  • The product was duplicated due to a verified technical error; or
  • Another circumstance gives rise to a valid refund under applicable law or Platform policy.

A refund may not be available merely because a buyer no longer wants a digital product after accessing or downloading it, where applicable law permits such a restriction.

7. Physical Products

For physical products, refund or replacement requests may be considered in circumstances such as:

  • The product was not delivered;
  • The wrong product was delivered;
  • The product arrived materially damaged;
  • The product materially differs from its listing; or
  • Another circumstance covered by the applicable seller or marketplace policy.

The buyer may be required to provide relevant information, photographs, delivery records, or other evidence when submitting a claim.

8. Seller Responsibility

Sellers are responsible for accurately describing their products and fulfilling orders according to the terms presented to buyers.

Where a refund or replacement is caused by a seller’s failure to fulfill an order or materially inaccurate product information, the matter may be referred to the seller for resolution in accordance with applicable Platform policies.

9. Cancellations

Cancellation rights may vary depending on the transaction.

Some transactions may not be cancellable once:

  • A service has commenced;
  • A campaign has received participation;
  • A digital product has been delivered or accessed;
  • A physical product has been dispatched; or
  • Another irreversible processing stage has occurred.

Where cancellation is available, the applicable cancellation conditions will apply.

10. Failed Payments

If a payment appears to have been deducted but the related transaction was not successfully completed, users should contact support and provide the relevant transaction information.

We may investigate the transaction and, where appropriate, coordinate with the applicable payment provider to resolve the issue.

11. Duplicate Payments

If a user or business is charged more than once for the same transaction due to a verified technical or processing error, the duplicate transaction may be reviewed for correction or refund.

Users should report suspected duplicate payments promptly.

12. Unauthorized Transactions

If you believe that a transaction was made without your authorization, contact MicroJob Africa as soon as possible and provide the relevant transaction information.

We may request additional information to investigate the matter.

Users should also contact their payment provider where appropriate.

13. Refund Processing

Approved refunds may take time to appear in the user’s payment account.

Processing time can depend on the payment method, payment provider, banking institution, technical conditions, and other circumstances outside MicroJob Africa’s direct control.

A refund request being approved does not necessarily mean that the funds will appear immediately.

14. How to Request a Refund

A refund or transaction dispute should be submitted through the official MicroJob Africa support channel.

Where applicable, provide:

  • Account information;
  • Transaction reference;
  • Date of transaction;
  • Amount;
  • Product, campaign, or service involved;
  • Reason for the request; and
  • Relevant supporting information or evidence.

Incomplete information may delay the review process.

15. Refund Review

Refund requests may be reviewed individually based on:

  • Transaction records;
  • Applicable Platform policies;
  • Campaign or product conditions;
  • Evidence provided;
  • Seller or advertiser information;
  • Payment-provider records; and
  • Applicable law.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.

16. Chargebacks

Users and businesses should contact MicroJob Africa support before initiating a payment dispute where the issue can reasonably be resolved through the Platform.

Fraudulent or abusive use of chargebacks may result in account restrictions where permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this section prevents a user from exercising rights available under applicable payment rules or law.

17. Exceptions Required by Law

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to remove or restrict any refund, cancellation, consumer, or other legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where applicable law provides a mandatory refund or cancellation right, that right will apply.

18. Changes to This Policy

MicroJob Africa may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time.

The updated version will be published on the Platform with a revised “Last Updated” date.
